If you’re going to be stupid enough to go get “your flu shot,” (as if it’s been sitting there just waiting for YOU) then at least be a minimally discerning shopper of this harmful product. At least avoid getting one that contains mercury. Surprise! Yep, some influenza vaccines contain a mercury derivative called Thimerosal.
Mercury is one of the most toxic chemicals known to humankind. It is so dangerous, in fact, that when there is a mercury spill in a school lab a HAZMAT team (you know, the guys with the bulky protective full-body suits) is always called in to clean up the mess.
Anyways, you get the idea.
There are 11 influenza vaccines licensed in the United States. The following ones contain Thimerosal: Alfuria, Flucelvax, Flulaval, Fluvirin and Fluzone. Alfuria, Flucelvax and Fluvirin are manufactured by Sequris of the UK—a subsidiary of CSL of Australia. Flulaval is produced by GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) of the UK. Fluzone is made by Sanofi Pasteur of France.
If your doctor, dentist, or local drugstore (or eventually even 7-11 or dry cleaners) only carries one of these products, then just keep shopping. Be as picky as you’d be if you were looking for your favorite yogurt.
Now, don’t get me wrong. I wouldn’t get a flu shot if you offered me a million bucks or threatened to punch me in the face. Seriously. So I’m not suggesting that those other influenza vaccines that do not contain Thimerosal are okay. I’m merely trying to get you to do a little thinking before you giddily go off and get yourself poked with all that toxic crap.
Perhaps once you start pushing aside all the mercury-containing flu shots, then maybe you’ll start being curious about the ingredients in the other ones that might also be worth avoiding. Like, oh, formaldehyde, polysorbate 80, MSG, squalene, etc. I can give you a complete ingredients list for all 11 of them.
I’m always amazed at how clueless most people are about what they’re injecting into themselves and their children. I’m utterly stupefied (love using that word) at how most doctors are clueless about what they’re injecting into their patients.
